Welcome to the Rock Springs
Fire Department
Employee Assistance Program
The City of Rock Springs has established a special program to assist RSFD employees and their family members. This is an additional benefit that supplements your health insurance by providing confidential access to mental health professionals who have experience with and a special interest in working with first responders.
Everyday stressors, as well as some of the unique stressors and difficulties involved in first responder work, can affect our lives and have a real impact on our well-being. We want to help provide resources so that RSFD staff members and their families can quickly and conveniently, and in complete privacy, get in touch with a qualified provider who stands ready to assist with any emotional or psychological issue.
The Employee Assistance Program provides access to a network of specially selected mental health professionals practicing in Wyoming who have experience in assisting first responders and those who have experienced psychological trauma.
Between July 1st and June 30th of each year, RSFD employees and household members will be provided with up to three hours of services, at no cost. To access services, simply select a provider and email or call them directly. You do not need a referral from anyone else, and you may remain anonymous if you wish. If you prefer to see your provider for longer than three meetings, you may use your health insurance program to continue services
